5 months in and the door already got jammed. It’s a weak and expensive microwave. Unfortunately, this is the only microwave that could fit under my cabinet.

Good simple GE unit for what my needs were

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave is sufficient for my needs and is a no frills unit with one year warranty. I find it operating well now. Surprised that GE can only warrant their product will last a year. The unit required a new trim kit and carpentry work as my former 3 year old GE Microwave Cafe series failed after the warranty date whose the dimensions were larger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Controls should be intuitive and are until the word “food,” comes up on the display for no obvious reason. What else would I have in the microwave besides food? The machine operates quieter than most others. The display randomly loses some of its number lines on the clock making it difficult to use.

Microwave oven. Poor quality

The panel on the right side doesn’t light up and is difficult to see when selecting options. It also doesn’t respond right away when pushing specific choices. For the price of this microwave, I am very dissatisfied.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We’d like to address the issue you’re having with the panel not responding right away. If you think the delay is longer than it should be, we recommend disconnecting the microwave from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it. The oven not starting when the control panel is working is discussed on page 20 of your manual, linked here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--GtAyInqT--/ff57badc3913908f16fe34270e1a90db1cd5ae19.pdf. The manual also includes information on your warranty, on page 23.

It’s the only one that fits!!!

The capacity is adequate. The microwave fits perfectly in a cabinet opening that was made for this model. This is the 4th one we have owned in 18yrs. The 800 watts is low powered but adequate. The controls are not lighted and hard to read. Very quiet microwave. They seldom last past 6yrs. Would not be my choice, however it’s the only microwave on the market that will fit my cabinet opening. Features are very adequate also.
