I bought the profile 1.1 for my 27 in cabinet twice. The trim kit fits perfectly and the performance of the microwave is great. However, I re-purchased it because the paint inside cracked and peeled. It took about two years for this to happen, but as I said the performance was great. I am sad to report that the second one cracked and peeled inside as well. I have had it for about 2 yrs. Now I am looking for another type of microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

About the only complaint we have with our new microwave is that it doesn't seem to pop all the kernels when we make popcorn. Otherwise, it's really good!

Not as tall as noted

The actual height is shorter than what is listed on the website. This unit has the shortest depth of any microwave on the market, so for many people, this is the only choice. That said, it is attractive and works well. I'd wish it had a little more power and slightly larger turntable. It is reasonably quiet and heats evenly. I love that it uses a flat style power plug, especially important for limited space applications that this unit will undoubtedly support.

Fits my cabinet space perfectly

Our kitchen cabinets have a microwave opening that is 24" wide and only 12" high and 12" deep. Pretty small, compared with counter top or range hood designs. We upgraded our kitchen to stainless steel appliances and after shopping around, started to worry that we couldn't find a microwave that would fit. We were thrilled to find this model -- plus nearly all our other appliances (current and prior) are GE and we've been very pleased with them. A bonus: this microwave is much quieter than the one it replaced!

Only microwave thatvwoukd fit in the opening we had. Very happy with it thus far. Easy to install. Would have been nice if the word "Profile" was still on the door to match the other Profile appliances.

Attractive and works great

I had a 15 year-old version of this same unit that finally quit, and this was the only one I could find that perfectly fit the space in our cabinet. But it's a very good product and looks great.

Underwhelming performance

I purchased this microwave to replace the predecessor to this model to fit the space we had. The power is sub-standard and the buttons are confusingly placed.

Great fit for a small built-in space

This was the only microwave I could find that would fit in the built-in space where our old microwave was installed. It works great and we are pleased with how it looks.
