Love the new features

We bought the new GE Profile Microwave. I love the power saving feature. This is an easy to use system. The options when you select steam, soften, reheat, etc. make it easy to select the right settings. The owners manual is wonderful, this one shows time for steaming vegetables, family snacks, etc. Great addition to the manual.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed.....

Just purchased a microwave & discovered that the interior of the door is not glass but plastic. Having had 4 previous GE microwaves, I was expecting the same quality, sad to see it's come to this.

Awful!

I purchased an over the range microwave oven in late August and it has already broken down 2 times. Both times have required at least 2 days of service. At this point I have had to take off from work 5 days to resolve this issue. When the repairman arrived today he was unable to repair the microwave because a part that he ordered was damaged. Now I need to take at least another day off! Obviously, I've purchased a "lemon."

Dead dead dead......

Extremely disappointed in this GE product. Scares me that our 4K range will go on the fritz too. Our Profile microwave just died out of nowhere. No lights/no power. Checked house fuse and outlet and they are functioning and fine. We had this installed in our new build 3 years ago. I can’t believe that after all the $ we spent on this thing.....it just died and only after 3 years. I bet if I call GE they will charge me more to fix it then it’s worth....then force me to another brand. Not happy especially so close to Christmas.

Super fast heating and easy clean interior. The auto time buttons are very user friendly. We also enjoy the deep interior area and we are able to fit large bowls inside.

This unit replaced a 10 yr old similar GE product which went bad, and I was glad it was still available in the bisque color. This newer unit is not nearly as powerful and takes quite a bit longer for items to warm up in comparison to the older model.

I'll never buy GE products again

I bought a new home in April 2015 and chose all GE Profile Stainless Steel appliances from the builders catalog (Range, Dishwasher, Microwave, Refrigerator, Washer and Dryer). Big mistake. Within 12 months I've had two repairs for the stove, one repair for the dishwasher, one repair for the microwave and one pending repair for the washer. Losing count but I think I've had 7 service call... and counting. Four of the calls were for the microwave alone. Even the service guy for the microwave said "the build quality is so terrible these days that I don't know why don't just replace them". I've just purchased a 2 year warranty extension for everything. After that, they'll all be replaced with another brand as each one fail. On the other hand, the 15 year old washer/dryer left in my previous home are still working well and never failed once.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
