Perfect Fit.

So far the product performs as expected. My only heartache with the product was the cost due to it being an in-cabinet unit which drove the price up exponentially.

Nice microwave, but lacks some convenience

Pluses of this microwave: Good power, looks nice, has trim kit, express buttons are very nice (only 1 button to press for 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.)
Negatives: Lots of buttons to press to change the power level (you have to press cooking time and then power level). It would be nice to be able to adjust the power level and use the express cooking buttons.
Also, I really miss having express buttons for softening and melting butter.

A disappointment.

My first GE microwave was 24 years old and going strong. I bought a new one due to remodeling and am disappointed that all the features do not work satisfactorily. The "reheat" feature cannot be used twice in a row and once burned the food to a crisp. The "beverage" feature gives error messages at times with just water or tea. The instruction manual is a pamphlet and not very explanatory, unlike the one with my previous GE. I expected much more than this.

I'm not happy with this product. This is the third one and I hope it will continue to function. The first one, just after a year, the light went out and then subsequently it stopped working altogether. The second one had a door opening problem. The third one seems to be working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the slate color
