Great microwave but wondering how long it will las

We bought our first microwave a year ago October 2014. Then it started having problems when we used the "reheat" cycle. It was so bad that my husband was afraid it was going to set itself on fire!
We called GE and they sent somebody immediately to determine what was wrong. The warranty expired 4 days prior. The guy looked at it and said the wave was bad so we needed a new one. Fortunately we got a new microwave from GE at no additional cost. Now that's great service!!
So to sum up, I like the microwave, but even more than that, I liked that GE made good on their product even tho the warranty had expired a short time previous.
I would recommend this to a friend!

not as good as prior GE profile microwave!

Had to buy new microwave to replace my old GE profile one that held up great and still looked new after 17-18 years!, however only have had new replacement one a few months and already several scratches on front plastic area surrounding door/keypad! the plastic used here is easily scratched and dulling already? Also door is sort of hanging low when open? need to lift slightly up when close! I'm not impressed! this is very disappointing since quality is not like used to be, i'm afraid this one isn't going to hold up even a quarter of time of my previous one! Hoping i'm wrong though! Also purchased the trim kit to go with this microwave as I use as built in wall unit above oven and even new trim kit not as good as old one which I wished I could have kept since was black metal type material and looked like new , however GE has changed dimensions of microwaves therefore making you have to buy new size trim kit also! the new trim kit is plastic and doesn't look as good and hoping will hold up. both purchased in black
