I would not recommend this microwave; we are on our 3rd replacement. The appearance looks like it has dents on all 3. The 2nd replacement was making a horrible sound.

Poor quality and unreliable

Nothing but trouble until it completely died and was declared irreparable at approximately 2 years old. First the plastic overlay on the door went bad. They replaced that. Then the door latch quit working. They fixed that. Then it started making irregular noises like the fan was not working, but it was worse that that. The technician came, looked at it, and ordered parts. The 2nd technician came and while attempting to install the parts concluded some irreplaceable part was also bad. So after less than 3 years this GE Profile Microwave is going into the trash. Poor quality, totally unreliable, plus expensive. Avoid.

Normal microwave functionality

installed this microwave a month ago and everything is working as it should with the exception of the pre-programmed popcorn feature. It displays a steam detector error which I assume is part of the auto sensing capabilities. Will need to get it serviced before it is a month old. ?????? Too expensive for what you get especially when it doesn't work right out of the box. Disappointed with GE as I have always had good experiences with their products.

DON'T Purchase! Had 3 of these last 13 months!

I bought a GE Profile Microwave in 6/2015 - it broke on 7/2015 and had it replace. The replacement of 7/2015 broke on 8/2016! One month after warranty expired. The only reason I purchased another GE Profile in 8/2016 was because of my other kitchen appliances and matching. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GE MICROWAVE. Very unhappy with quality. By the way - I took out the 5 year warranty- don't trust this item.

Sensor works poorly

I just purchased my 2nd one only because my cabinet was made to fit. I purchased my first one two years ago and it had problems with the sensor which was minor (popcorn feature never did work). The last straw was every time you opened the door it would start running. Easier to get a new one and try again.

Great Features, But Problematic.

This microwave is easy to use and has many good feature, but I have had to replace this microwave 2 times. Door switch went bad and the microwave cone burned a hole in the inside plastic of the microwave. It started sparking like I was microwaving tinfoil, but I wasn't.
