Door needs to be slammed to close.

You have to slam the door hard for it to close. Very annoying.

Not as good as old model JE2160SF001

I replaced an old GE microwave that functioned perfectly for 14 years with this model. This one has an issue with extended time cooking (9+ min)...the door does not open after extended cooking until the unit cools down! Some times, moisture builds up in the LCD panel as well. When a service person came to address the issue, was told to simply saran wrap the food when cooking in microwave to prevent moisture from getting into the door/LCD mechanisms. Never had to resort to such means with the old unit. Don't like cooking my food with any sort of plastic in the mix...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this to replace my existing 2011 model GE Profile model, which was very similar. I loved the previous one and was just upgrading from white to stainless to match the rest of our upgraded kitchen appliances. I really liked the previous one, and am sure I'll be happy with this one as well. I would recommend it to everyone.

We choose this model for a newly built home. Its our first wall unit microwave and we love it. It's very streamline and the capacity is bigger than we expected
