We just built a new home, moved in Nov. 2015 and had all GE-Profile appliances installed. Our original microwave has lasted 17 months! Because trim kits change with each model, we've decided to buy 2 microwaves this time, keeping one for a spare. No the original microwave could not be repaired, magnetron plus service call equals new microwave.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Had to replace same that was 11 years old and repaired 5 times. Hopefully this one won't be as awful.

works great until the cavitron go out

I purchased the model PeB7722dfbb and a couple of months the cavitron go out.
does not heat up Ge fixed it in a few days works just great then. A year couple mount latter the cavitron

Love this microwave with the trim install kit. Looks beautiful and coupled with our GE double oven we couldn't be more happy.

Features are good, except for closing the door

We have to close the door midway up or above. We cannot close the door at the bottom. We have to remind ourselves not to push on the bottom of the door to close it.
