Noisier than last year's model

The Builder accidentally installed last year's model. When we discovered that we had it replaced. I liked the previous model better.
I would also prefer that the timer keep beeping until turned off (like last year's did).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The power in the unit is commensurate with the large volume of the cooking area. However, the unit is not overpowered despite the high power rating. It is sufficient to do the job and definitely performs the normal microwave re-heating, popcorn popper, and defroster functions in an efficient and expected manner.
There are limited programmable functions on the control panel compared with our formal model. For example specific settings for various dishes etc. For us this is not a problem since when we heat packaged foods we use the recommended times on the package.
The quality control on the construction was good except for the overlay on the control panel which had a bubble on it, and the stainless steel that leaves finger marks. We are used to stainless steel with a coating that does not leave finger marks and a better quality control panel overlay material. Since it functions well we decided not to return it for a trivial little bubble but oif those things bother you make sure you inspect the unit you buy.

I bought this to match the rest of the appliances in my kitchen. The operation is simple to learn and easy to use. I get my cup of hot water every morning to start my day with tea. Very nice!

This microwave has not worked consistently since we got it. It is less than 3 months old.
