WORST MICROWAVE EVER!

This microwave was in a new house. It quit heating after less than 1 week's use.
The finish on it shows every touch, and the buttons to push are badly done as far
as determining which function you want to use. Under no circumstances would I recommend this microwave.

Very quiet

So far this product has performed as expected, and is much quieter than my previous competitor brand. A small complaint is that when I put food in, close the door and leave it in for a while (10-15 min.), when I press the time cooking button later it says "Insert food" so I must open and close the door to use it. This product was purchased because it was the only reasonably priced one that had a SS trim kit to match a 30" cutout opening in existing cabinet. The shiny SS shows all fingerprints so perhaps in future editions this product could have the finish that hides fingerprints.

I always regarded GE appliances as very reliable.
But this microwave oven (Model PEB7226SF1SS) started smoking and making loud noise after only two weeks of using.
I am not sure if I can recommend to others about this appliance.

Love the Slate!

Our microwave went out a couple of months ago. We waited to replace it with the GE Slate to match our refrigerator and dish washer. We purchased the Slate wall oven at the same time. The microwave is very spacious!! Now larger items can be cooked to perfection!

It is a good microwave , but the writing on the face of the mic is so small , even my 27 year old said that the control pad is written too small , who designed this ? Ask a consumer ! The timer is above the cooking button? Trust me , you cook /reheat far more than you use the timer.
