I BOUGHT MY FIRST GE PROFILE MICROWAVE ON 09/1999. YES, AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, I HAD TO REPLACE IT... AND I'M NOT COMPLAINING.

I brought this microwave to replace an old white GE that was is perfect condition, but needed to go to stainless steel. My old one was 10 years old and just fine. I find no complaints with this new one, except the Reheat function cooks a little long for my preferences. The Cook time and Timer buttons placemen are just a bit confusing, but I just need to relearn this models layout.

I hope this microwave lasts longer

I bought the same model of microwave in December 2014, it quit working in February 2015. It took 3 months and many visits by the repairman to get a new unit under warranty. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this unit lasts many years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
