I needed a smaller microwave and was so happy to find this GE, I'm waiting for the hanging kit ect. So far its a good microwave and so quiet

I bought this to replace my second unit. The unit lasted 14 years. The second unit had quirks and was not reliable that had some issues.So far so good. I have a cabinet built in and I needed a 12 inch top to bottom fit.
I bought it and thought I might have to return it because specs list as height as 12.1 or 12.2 depending on site.
It fits perfectly. I even have 1/4 inch to spare.
Hope this las like the original unit.

The right size and power for our needs.

This is the 6th Spacemaker GE microwave we have purchased since GE started manufacturing them. Although this is not labeled Spacemaker, it is the same size and functions as our others have. Needless to say, we had been very satisfied with the GE Spacemaker or we would have purchased a different brand. There is one obvious and annoying feature with this new microwave, however, that we never had with the others. The button to open the door is extremely hard to operate and is very noisy. When closing the door, it is also VERY NOISY! At that point, the unit feels very tinny.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Difficult to view labeling

My husband and I are very disappointed in the labeling of the different microwave functions and numbers!!!!! You can barely read them! Instead of being in a bright white they are a muted gray on the black front. Our last GE Spacesaver was 17 years old. We loved it!!

It was nice to find a small enough microwave to fit in the hole in my cabinets! It is so quiet, we hardly know when it is turned on.
