Glad to find a replacement not happy w/door sound!

Greetings, our 12 year old GE microwave stopped heating, so finding a replacement was needed. Its a small unit & didn't want to change our cabinets, glad to find a replacement from GE, noticing the door when you close it sounds like TIN not solid, also notice that this new microwave doesn't heat at the same time while using the timer. Its one or the other. The old GE model did. Don't understand why companies change models that worked great the old way. The new & improved for this model sure doesn't apply. I was also hoping to find a conviction microwave that would fit this smaller model....not so.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Attractive, compact design and easy to use.

We replaced an 8 year old GE Profile just like this one. Our cabinet space is shallow and this model fits the bill. Quiet, easy to use, does the job without confusing and unnecessary functions. Nice design.

The only one that works

If you want a microwave to put up in a cabinet that's not deep, then this is the one for you. We wanted to build one in to our Ikea cabinets and this worked perfect. The 'reheat' functions for leftovers works surprisingly well - this is the first microwave where I've consistently used that feature. The only thing I wish was different was that closing the door feels a lil loud.

I bought this to replace a Spacesaver II as it fits the space. The first thing I noticed was that the new microwave was much quieter than the previous one. Almost wondered if it wasn't working. You should be advised that the screw holes on the new over are slightly different than the previous (of course!) So you might need to buy the installation kit as well.

Powerful and so quiet!

We searched for a long time to find a replacement that would fit in our unique space. This one has been great! It is so quiet that I couldn't believe it was even on! And then I thought I'd have to do another cycle because I could not imagine it would be powerful enough being so quiet, but the food gets hot in one cycle! So far, so good!
