Quieter than my old microwave oven!

I bought this to replace the exact same GE unit. The new unit get A+ for being much more quiet, but a C for being a tad bit larger in all three dimensions so it took a little work to get it to fit into the same enclosure.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been very pleased with my microwave. It offers several selections for cooking but is extremely easy to use, and its sleek look compliments the other kitchen appliances.

Not as good as it used to be...

Our old 1992 GE SpaceSaver finally gave out. We bought this as a replacement. It's tinny, had sharp edges on the door, you can't read the buttons even though it's eye level. People said it burned microwave popcorn. I thought it was because they used the popcorn button. I used it like I used to use the old one. Used power level 3 and stopped the turntable and it still burned. The one thing I do like about it is the turntable and the fact that you can turn it off if you want to. I didn't have that in my old one. If you don't need a space saving oven, I would not recommend this one. We had to have it because of the space on the shelf we have for an oven over our stove.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Decent product with life was longer

I had at least 4 of these spacesaver microwaves over 20 years. It would great if they could last as long as a conventional oven (going on 40 years). Every five years when I replace it, GE changes the under cabinet screw holes. Why can't they keep the screw holes in the same place. My cabinet is looking like swiss cheese (4 installs, 4 new holes each time for a total of 20 holes.). I continue to buy this product because it is the only one with diminisions I need. I would choose another brand if I could.

Satisfactory MIcrowave

I purchase this microwave to replace the previous version that we had custom cabinetry built for during a kitchen remodel 3 years ago. The previous microwave broke within 3 years. This microwave works ok for general use. The keypad is hard to press. The previous keypad was softer, but maybe that was a problem and why it broke on the first one. The timer only had one sound when it ends and does not keep on ringing like the previous version. I tried using the beverage sensor, but the sensor takes minutes to "sense" before it starts to heat...I don't have 6 minutes to warm up a drink. In summary, it works fine, but I don't expect it to last more than 2-3 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!
