Fits Wall Cabinet Perfectly!!!

We have remodeled our kitchen and needed a matching SS microwave that would fit the wall cabinet for the microwave. I had the tough job of being my own kitchen designer and knew how I wanted my kitchen to look. Once done with all the hard work and the help of a family friend who is a contractor, I had to find a microwave that went with the design and fit the wall cabinet. It was obvious that store models we saw were either too deep and have a large overhang or have lesser depth models that were much smaller and would leave large gaps all around. After several online searches, we found a blog where visitors mentioned this model as the only microwave out there with small depth but sufficient width---we searched everywhere and kept coming back to this one as the ONLY viable option out there. I can safely say that if other brands don't get to it and offer a similar size, GE will have this one as it's moneymaker for those seeking to remodel their kitchens. We bought this online to be shipped for store p/up. I came home and was pleasantly surprised that my hubby had put it in the wall cabinet which is 30"W x 30"L x 12"D and has a shelf for microwave. This GE model is 24"W and about 12"D and 12" L (tall), which fits great without an overhang or too much gaps.
The pictures should help explain how great this model fits. If anyone has this same issue, this model is HIGHLY recommended and worth the money for the aesthetic quality.

Perfect built-in dimentions, but average history

If you are building a microwave into a cabinet with limited height, this unit fits. There are little if any other choices. Looks very nice when installed. Kitchen put in about 8 years ago, I now need to buy my third microwave. First one lasted 3 yrs. Second one 5, and the paint is peeling off roof inside oven.
Question: Most recent unit is PEM31SM8SS, with trim kit. Can you confirm that PEM31SFSS is interchangeable with my old one? Can I use existing trim kit or do I need to purchase new trim also? Thanks.

Perfect microwave for built in cabinet/shelf

After doing a lot of research we chose this model and used the trim kit with it. It's perfect for our kitchen and a pretty decent size. I can fit a dinner plate in it easily.
