Second GE Microwave

When we redid our kitchen 10 years ago we bought a counter top GE microwave. Excellent machine . Worked for 10 years without a glitch. Just stopped working a few days ago and bought the same, but newer version. As long as I have this one for 10 more years, I'll be thrilled

This microwave is very easy to use. The control panel is well laid out and it is very intuitive to use. Didn't need the "owners manual" to explain functions or settings. Works great.

It's very quiet but size wise...

We had to replace our original GE Profile Microwave which was 14 years old. We wanted the same microwave because of previous one fit in perfect. Of course the new model is 1/8" bigger which was created a giant hassle to install. Thank goodness my dad was doing the work and showed amazing patience. It took 2 days. The only difference other than size, the new one is unbelievably quiet.

Replacing the same under cabinet mounted microwave

When I originally designed my kitchen I installed this under cabinet style GE spacesaver microwave in 2007. Something electrically went wrong with it an it did not work. I was glad that I was able to replace it with basically the same product. There were a few changes necessary, in the mounting holes and hardware, but it works fine and looks the same as before. I like this design because it is off the counter top, not too big and did not have to be custom fit into my cabinets.

Very happy with product

This replaced a 15 year old built-in GE Profile Microwave that is no longer available. Thankfully the width of the new unit was the same and the cabinet could be adjusted to the new depth and height without major expense. The touch pad is an improvement over the old model and the design and stainless finish seems more resistant to smears. The installation kit was easy to use.

Contractor offered it to me at a good price, but have had a GE micro for year, and I've always been satisfied. This one fits where I needed it to fit. It's reliable and the right size with no frills (thermometer, convection feature, etc.) Just right for my needs.

Nearly comparable replacement

Using as an undercabinet unit and sorry to see the hole alignment changed from model 14 years ago. Holes don't form a perfect square and there was no template provided. Problem with one of the screw holes not being cleanly threaded but seems to be holding.
