A workhorse of a microwave

This is my third GE Countertop space saver since 1982. I get the best quality and service from it and it does not take up a huge amount of counter space. I have been able to install them above the counter in each case.

The door when opening and closing is exceedingly loud and clunky. The control panel need to be backlit, you can't even see the verbiage on the display, you need a flashlight and a magnifying glass. Other than that it heats food just fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Holding up well!

I bought this a month ago, after having the same model at work for a year! People at work, slam the door, make messes, press #s very hard, etc. It held up at work, so I figured get one for home. I needed a narrow depth (less than 13") this is perfect and there's so much room inside,!! Dinner plates, big bowls, tall mugs. Heats everything well.

I replaced my old micro that was at least 15 years old with the exact same model. Be aware that the dimensions are slightly different, so I needed a new trim kit. My only complaint on the newer model is that the sound alert is very low and beeps only once. The older model beebed about every 30 seconds or so and much louder. I quick phone call to CS revealed that that this is how the new model was made.

our old microwave started having paint peel on the interior so we replaced it with this one. we also purchased the in-cabinet mounting kit. So far its been very user friendly, and is very quiet.

Easy to see display, Even heating

This little microwave fits perfectly under my cabinets, which others don't. The food heats evenly, defrosts well. Easy to clean, turntable works well. Very happy with this purchase. If you use the food timer and run the microwave at the same time, cancel will cancel both. You cannot see the timer display while the microwave is also running. A Bigger Issue: Display does not show the power level in this model.

One of the smallest dept microwaves I could find to fit on a shelf above my stove. Just so happened to be the same brand as the other appliances we were buying. Quite. Sharp looking.
