This is my second GE profile microwave, my original one is working except for the paint is peeling off on the inside, I was very upset. I purchased this new one for the depth measurement because I have a shelf that is already in place. I have only used it one day, I do notice the button to open the microwave is set in crooked, I am not sending it back, I am not happy. The price is very high, and I hope the paint doesn't peel off. Otherwise it is working.

under cabinet replaces older failing Space Saver

Bought this to replace GE Spacemaker II installed in 1999. Old microwave was buggy, and this one fit well enough to serve as a replacement under a cabinet. It works just fine, but is a bit taller and deeper so built-in trim no longer fits.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disapointing replacement

This was the only product that would fit in the cut out of my cabinet. It replaced a 12 year old GE Profile. It is of much cheaper materials, particularly the vent trim. Also it has smaller inside dimentions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great fit for our kitchen!

We purchased this microwave because it was a perfect fit for the microwave alcove in our new kitchen. Everything works very well. The only downside is the lower power as compared to our previous unit. A cup of soup that used to take 1 minute, now takes 2. In general, it takes about 2x the time of the old unit.

Good size for countertop microwave

Compact, but still has almost the same interior and features as my old built in microwave. The only downside is it only has 800 watts so extra time must be given for cooking. But an extra minute or 2 is not a deal breaker. Still has the same quick cook buttons as my old larger m/w. And it looks nice in my counter!

good but pricey

We did a minor remodel in the kitchen and I removed our existing GE Profile microwave from over our range / stove. It is a thousand Watts and about 3in taller then the replacement. I put the new microwave, this one, in an our pantry. I selected this one because it is significantly shorter, which allowed me to do the install without having to do any shelving adjustments which would have required more than just unscrewing some fasteners i e would have required carpentry work. The good news is the new microwave fits perfectly but the bad news is it's smaller and less powerful. And for a microwave it was expensive. However I knew all of this going in and decided it was the best option for my situation. And I had good luck with my original GE Profile microwave.
