Easy installation in new cabinets/home remodel

No hassle installation. The unit has a beautiful profile; sleek, modern & sharp looking! I’m pleased so far though I haven’t actually used it yet :). I will report on its functionality soon in this review site. But I have great expectations.

Fits my space perfectly

We purchased this particular microwave because it fits my shelf space exactly as it needed it to. It replaces another GE Profile Microwave. Overall, it is an excellent, good quality product. We like that it doesn't sound tinny or feel flimsy. It would get 5 stars, but we find the numbers and words on the buttons difficult to read. It would be better if they lit up or something. I also wish it had been available in at least 1000 watts, but the 900 gets the job done.

After 13 years, my previous GE Profile microwave failed, possibly caused by a power surge during a thunderstorm. This replacement is very similar to the older model in operation.

I thought it would last longer than 3 years. When I built new home and chose all GE appliances, I was sure longevity would not be an issue. Sadly, the microwave started staying on longer than programmed, and finally, I could smell wires and plastic burning. I ended up having to turn off at the electrical breaker box. Now I have to decide if I want to replace it with another GE, just to match color with other appliances, or go to another brand and risk it not fitting.....what a mess.......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I recently bought this and it is a great size for the space! There are no finger prints and it is super easy to use. It has many settings for a variety of foods. It has worked great so far!

Sleek, compact, large capacity

This is my fourth of this model over 22 years. I designed a kitchen cabinet around it - chose it because of it's narrow depth, so it fits in sleekly with my contemporary kitchen. I did give up power for that - at only 800 watts, you need to cook most things just a bit longer. I love the unit, but am just a bit gun-shy, as the paint in the top interior of my last one bubbled and began to peel, exposing metal. I was told it wasn't covered under the extended warranty, because it didn't affect the functionality of the oven. I wasn't comfortable exposing my family to peeling paint and whatever rays were bombarding around so I tossed it. Just hoping this one does better. It's pretty pricey for a unit that you can expect to get four years out of, but I'm stuck with the size needed, and it does look great and cook great for awhile.
