An adequate microwave

Had the microwave a month now...it was a replacement for an earlier generation model which lasted for 13 years!...the buttons are not as crisp as the one it replaced nor do the buttons don't light up which was always a nice feature during the evening hours...it seems that the sheet metal and the construction in general is much more flimsy....But since the dimensions were almost exactly the same, I was able to install this one as a built in with minimal difficulties.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a basic unit. It fits well within my existing cabinets and was the reason I purchased. It is 800 watts vs 1000 for other units I have had so it takes a little adjustment. My biggest issue with the unit is that the control panel is hard to read especially in low light. The panel wording and numbers need to be in a brighter color or it needs back lighting. Also some of the presets (e.g. reheat) use cryptic description like "plate" telling me nothing about the reheat time or power level. Overall I am satisfied with this unit so far for the price.

This model was an upgrade from the earlier version, but it lacks several features and the quality does not appear to be as good.

Does the job

Bought this microwave to replace a “space saver” GE model. It was the only one that would fit. It does the job but doesn’t have all the features. The keypad requires effort.

We bought this last April 2018 but since our kitchen remodel took 7 months longer than expected the microwave was installed few weeks ago. Don't have experience with the built in but so far it looks and works great!

This is the only microwave with a short and shallow depth shape, which makes it unique and therefore relatively expensive. It works well, is attractive, and fits my exisitng shlef.

JUST INSTALLED TODAY. IT SEEMS BETTER (STURDIER) THAN THE PRIOR SIMILAR GE MODEL WHICH IT REPLACED. THE OTHER ONE GOT DESTROYED BY FOOD THAT ACCIDENTALLY CAUGHT FIRE. THE ONLY HITCH FOR THIS ONE IS THAT IT'S 1/4 INCH WIDER THAN THE OLD ONE, AND I HAD TO DO SOME CUTTING AND SANDING OF BUILT-IN CABINETRY TO GET IT INTO THE SAME PLACE THE OLD ONE WAS. MY WIFE SAYS THIS ONE LOOKS NICER AND IS MORE SOLID.
