Poor quality

Piece of garbage. No quality. Worse than our first GE which lasted only 3 years. Even delivery service was pathetic and marred custom cabinetry
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the under cabinet design; not the "updates"

LOVE this microwave and free space on my counter, but it's time to make it 1000 W. Also, the mounting holes in the top have inconveniently changed; the turntable doesn't make a 1 minute rotation anymore; and the timer only beeps one time now. However, it's the most practical and used appliance in my kitchen, and I still love it!
I've had a Spacemaker for over 25 years and would definitely buy it again!

Perfect Size and A Great Product

We had one like it from GE before that lasted 5 years and loved it. So we bought this new model to replace it. This microwave is compact enough to fit on the counter without taking over the space, yet large enough to fit a dinner plate in it. It is powerful enough for our needs and it makes very little noise. Much more quiet than the last one. The buttons are straight forward and the door latch mechanism has been improved and works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Unit

Had this same model for 14 years. This one is amazingly quiet and had a few different features than the original. Only disappointment was the mounting holes for undercabient where different an had to order a mounting kit for it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great when it works

I replaced an older GE microwave which wore out after only three years. As near as I can find, GE is the only company that produces a microwave of this size--which is the only size my kitchen will accommodate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Trim Kit Installation

Very difficult to install the trim kit. The kit mounts to the cabinet frame vs the microwave, as was the case with the one we replaced. The screws go in at an angle which makes it difficult to drill a hole and then get the screws in. The remainder of the install was a piece of cake.

I think this product operates well, but at 800 W (Level 10) "can" overheat on defrost mode using weight designator.
