Love the modern look of it !

The microwave looks great . I attached it to an upper cabinet . I hated having the microwave in the counter . This model has an attachment that allows for it to be attached to the bottom of an upper cabinet. So that is a great feature, although , I will say the wattage of tre microwave makes it a bit week heating things up . I love the look so much !! But my husband finds it a bit annoying. So only 4 stars . Thank you. ( also it was probably double In cost to other microwaves, but I wanted to attach it . So I overlooked that , a lot of people would not )

Not like the old one

The model I have is good but I enjoy the old model . I have to get use to the new model all in all Its a good microwave but I wish it came in the color of bisque....

Perfect size for kitchen remodel

Our kitchen remodel included a vent hood over the range instead of a microwave so we needed a small microwave to be mounted in the pantry cabinet (we considered a microwave drawer in the island, but didn't care for the ergonomics of access / control visibility). We primarily use the microwave for reheating leftovers and wanted a small unit to avoid taking up valuable space in the pantry. We've liked our previous GE microwaves and this fit the bill perfectly - small, nice looking, useful/familiar features and 2 mounting trim kits available.

Great fit for under cabinet install

Just replaced our 15 year old GE Profile JEM31 "under-cabinet" microwave with the same GE Profile PEM31. We like our old one so much and it was a great fit for our under- cabinet area that we bought the same style. Looks great. Have to get use to new arrangement of "buttons" and seems to need a bit more pressure to activate, but that should be an easy adjustment. The newer version has a smaller glass "plate", so unsure yet of how that will affect future usage with my heating dishes. Only WISH was that the wattage had been increased. The older and newer model are only 800 watts. Would have liked to seen that increase a bit, but again, that is what we've been using for 15 years. We do think it is overpriced tho' compared to other microwaves that are larger with more watts. Would have loved to get one to go over the stove, but being on the short side and not able to easily lift cooking dishes in and out of m/w - was the drawback to getting that feature - and it seems that there is better pricing on over-the-stove models.

Small Shelf microwave

FINALLY the right size

Truly a 24" unit that fits where the spacemaker fit. It is reasonably well designed and quite a bit quieter than the older units. I am happy 3 weeks in!

Finally someone has again made a microwave that is under counter mountable. I won't have to manufacture brackets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your unit works great and has all the necessary features.

Good microwave, but not as good as its predecessor

I replaced an under-cabinet-mounted GE Profile microwave (JEM31SF) which quit working. The PEM31SF was the direct replacement per the GE website, and as a non-vented, top-mounted microwave, there aren't many choices. This new one fit in the space, and it works, which is good, but in a number of ways is a step backwards from the old one. The old microwave had buttons with different colors and sizes, so it was easy to identify "cook time", "start", and "clear/off" - the new microwave's buttons are very similar so it's harder to quickly start cooking at a glance. The old microwave was labelled at 1.25kW, the new one is only 800W. The "Add 30 seconds" button only works while cooking, while the old microwave could add 30 seconds to cook time OR timer time. Finally, the holes in the top changed locations slightly, meaning I couldn't re-use the mounting bracket from the previous microwave. Overall a bunch of minor annoyances that distract from an otherwise satisfactory microwave.
