Cheap feeling given the price

The new version of the JEM/PEM series of the “GE” Microwave is considerably more expensive than the older generation model. When you open or close the door it has a cheap tinny feel. The keypad is not lighted and you have to press it pretty hard to enter something. On the positive side, it is quieter than the old model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Replacement for Existing Microwave

My 25 year old built in microwave finally wore out and with the help of the GE website I found the perfect replacement with no additional carpentry modifications needed. Just plug in the existing model and the recommendations will be presented.The recommended bezel fit as well too. Fairly easy to install.

We have very limited space and found this model is the only one available to replace our 13-year old unit. Although it’s only 800 watts it does a good job heating food up rapidly; it also has many features of much larger ovens.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect size for a built-in look. One button selections are handy - key pad easy to use. Nice to be able to turn off turntable when necessary.
