this is the third oven I have purchased in 7 years. they just keep breaking down. wish the company would take more pride in the product we buy.

This microwave is easy to use, has a sleek design and is very quiet! I have had a GE Profile Series microwave prior to this one and it lasted for 17 years before I replaced it with this new unit. We have always been extremely satisfied with this model and like the newer model even better!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall the product does a good job. Two small issues that drive me a bit nuts, the timer bell rings ONCE. If you miss it, you don't get a reminder, The old ones were much more persistent. The timer bell is also pretty quiet. During defrost, it seems the turntable cannot be turned off. Not sure why they chose that.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect Size

This GE microwave is the perfect size for our general kitchen needs. We don't use it for heavy duty cooking needs but it serves very well for defrosting, heating, frozen items etc.
This is probably the third one we have had since it's the only one on the market that fits the above counter shelf in our cabinet. Unfortunately the last one only lasted four years, we usually get about eight years use before needing to replace it. Longevity aside I would still buy this microwave because it has all the items that make it very useful in our kitchen.

Microwave stopped working after about 2.5 years

I purchased this microwave a almost 3 years ago. About a year after i received it it started making weird rattling noise as at ran. Like something was shaking inside. 3 years later it totally stopped working. Microwave no longer heats food or runs, the light just comes on. I thought GE made quality products.

Control panel difficult to see. sometimes request "food type" when using express or entering cook time, otherwise it works ok.

I replaced a 13 year old microwave that finally stopped working. I liked the old one better. On the new one: The door opening button is not as smooth. The turntable is a little noisier and it doesn’t seem as powerful even though they both were 800 watts.
