Love it - great features

I had the exact same model for about 10 years (I can't remember exactly when I purchased it). We loved it then and wanted the same model when the old one stopped working.

This microwave just feels clunky to open and close and is terrible as far as fingerprints and smudging. Not my favorite for what we paid for it.... sorry :(

Good, but not as good as discountinud PEM 31 SMSS

It works fine, but I wish:
1. inside light was brighter. Can hardly see what's inside, e.g. is the oatmeal about to boil over.
2. when the timer gets to zero, the sound would repeat periodically, just like when cooking is done, rather than only one time.
3. the 27" trim kit (JX 827 SFSS) would be flush with the cabinet (like my previous trim kit JX 827 SS, from 2008) rather than stick out a full inch.

I love the features of this microwave

This is my second purchase. I originally purchased this microwave in 2014 to fit a custom opening in my kitchen cabinets. I love how compact yet roomy it is for heating up leftovers. The express cook feature is wonderful (one press cooking by the minute 1-6), I love the kitchen timer feature where the microwave won't turn on during timing, and I love that you can turn the turntable off. The original purchase lasted six years before there was noticeable power loss from magnetron tube weakening. This is a normal thing for microwaves from what I read. The only thing I did not like is that the price is 15% higher for the current purchase.

This is the third ge profile under counter microwave I’ve purchased. I was happy with all the features of the first two but the quality of this unit is substandard in every respect. It’s noisy, sounds cheaply made when you open or close the door and the buttons including the door opening handle do not feel well made. GE might as well go out of the appliance business if this is the best they can do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

At first had to get used to new style kit..larger than previous...nevertheless
Am please with overall look and performance..It is the only size I can use
For my built in cabinet.. easy to clean and very quiet.
