Costly

We purchase this one to replace the similar model that stopped working. We needed this size because the location was custom made for it. The price is out of line for the similar other brands. Even our sales person mention it is over priced. We could not find another brand that fit. Door closes noisily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good features and performance at reasonable price

This MW replaced a previous GE Profile unit of approximately same feature and power level. Was one of few I found that had Sensor Cooking, which we use extensively for vegetables. Like the Reheat feature, which works well for a variety of foods. We did find the controls less intuitive than the previous unit, and it took us quite awhile to figure out the entry sequences. Also, the door sounds tinny compared to the older unit. And I wish that the minute timer had a repeat alarm, instead of just a single "beep".
I would recommend this to a friend!

The microwave started great - the first week it was working amazingly - you could not hear it when it was cooking food. Then after the second week you could start to hear the typical microwave sound when cooking.
I would recommend this to a friend!
