Perfect for small space

Works well and was easy to mount under cabinet

We previously had a GE Spacemaker II for 37 or 38 years which met our needs better than the new unit and was easier to operate. About a year ago, we spent more than we paid for it to have it repaired, but it lasted only a year so it was time for a change. We don't care for the turntable on the new one, and the old one had an upper shelf as well. The old unit seemed to be all around more solidly built. Again, we use the microwave for warming food and, sometimes, popcorn, but not for cooking. But that's just us. I'm sure it does the job for folks who want to use all it's features. Frankly, we bought this oven because we could mount it under the cabinet in the same location as the old one. Otherwise, we would have probably bought a less expensive on. But we are satisfied with it.

We have a limited opening in our cabinetry to fit a microwave. The GE slimline is the only miccrowate that fits into the space. Our last GE microwave died in 13 months (not 12, mind you, the amount of the warranty.) We have had to replace it with another of the same. Galling, especially given that the appliance is rarely used. Wouldn't recommend.
