Absolutely the WORST microwave EVER!

We ONLY bought this because, unfortunately, it was the ONLY microwave which fit into the space we had. However, it is BAD. The controls are very hard to read as the type is very small. The light inside is so dim you can hardly see. The timer is UTTERY USELESS; if you set it and are not standing right there in silence when it goes off, you miss it as it only signals ONCE, quietly, versus going off loudly until its shut off. Plus it doesn't cook. I can't for the life of me imagine how any company, let alone GE, could actually make something THIS BAD and sell it for so much; it's not cheap. amazing. DO NOT BUY THIS MICROWAVE

Poor Replacement

Very cheap and poorly made. Sensor features are a joke. Have to program every dish in before you can select sensor so what's the point? Had to buy a whole new frame kit as the one we had before would not fit the replacement microwave. Expensive. Loved the previous microwave we had, same model number. Would not recommend this

Bad lighting on the control

Poor design

The keypad is invisible. Why is it printed in dark ivory on a black background. Why didn't you make it to light up? In addition, the light inside the oven blew after one week, and we had to have a serviceman come to replace it. Why did you design it so the owner can't even replace the light bulb?

paint peeling off inside after 1.5 years

So quiet!

We recently replaced our 10-year old GE Profile microwave with a new version of the same model. We love it. It has a much simpler panel in front, eliminating many buttons we never used. But the most surprising difference is the considerably reduced noise. It is so much quieter than the old one. We expect another 10 years from this one, too!

Cheap and defective

After less than 4 years, this product stopped working. The glass turntable plate shattered and the unit heated without being turned on. There was a smoke smell, so I had to remove the unit from the wall. This was not a case of user error. This all happened after a typical 30 second reheat of food in a glass bowl (done hundreds of times).

Good features. Performs as expected

Overall , a good microwave. Slightly larger than the previous GE microwave. The installers did a great job putting it in! I was concerned it may not fit because of it's slightly larger demension. Buttons are a little hard to push. The front of the microwave smudges easily with fingerprints
