Bummer door

Door doesn’t open until one second after you push the release button. On subsequent pushes it opens right away. Fifteen minutes later it will again take a second for door to open. Had the microwave for 30 days. GE authorized service tech came to the house 3/21/2022, left thinking issue was resolved, and it is not! Still not functioning properly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple yet excellent microwave

I needed to replace a Monogram microwave and chose this GE model. Its size is similar and fits within a builtin. Features are simple but appropriate for our use. My Monogram lasted 15 years and hopefully this GE does also. I read about dimly lit front panel but it is perfectly fine for me. I read about cheap parts but I have not experienced that either.

A niche product that mostly meets our needs

Bought this appliance to replace an almost identical one that had failed. New model is less solid and lack, for example, an illuminated keypad. Dimensions are slightly different; the turntable is smaller (and is now too small for our dinner plates.) Nevertheless, the compact dimensions meet our kitchen requirements and we're happy enough with the replacement (three and a half stars)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second microwave by GE, my first one was purchased in 2009 and I never had a problem with it so I decided to purchase the same model again. Not to mention, that it look great under my cabinets.

Perfect size, low profile microwave

This will be our second GE microwave. We are hoping that this one has a better interior paint job that lasts longer than our previous GE Profile Microwave. We love the keypad panel, the selection choices for reheat.
