Doesn't work as well as the previous models.

It works and cooks fine.
Construction is more tinny than previous models. Door closing less robust. Touch screen harder to use. Often fails to recognize pushes. Mounting screws in different place from in previous models.
I hope it holds up better than previous versions, but the first one I had of this model failed while still under warranty and was replaced at no change. It feels as though changes were made to reduce the cost and they have reduced the quality of the oven.
However, it is the only under cabinet microwave I could find. I'd only recommend it to someone who needs an under cabinet model because there are no alternatives.

For the issue you've had with the touch screen not recognizing pushes, you may want to try resetting the microwave by disconnecting it from power for a couple minutes then plugging back in; this often resolves an issue. Great features in a compact size

This model really is a “Spacemaker.” I bought the stainless steel version; it’s contemporary and sleek looking. The operation is easy and intuitive, and it performs every function I need in a microwave. The only negative feature is that the timer doesn’t have a continuous alert when time is up, and I sometimes don’t notice the single beep.

Low wattage

I'm very disappointed in the cooking wattage power of this microwave. For the cost it should have been a 1200 wattage. I can deal with not being able to enter the exact cooking but very disappointed in how long it takes to cook. I can't even enjoy cooking a bag of popcorn compared to my old Kitchenaid microwave. It is very quiet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello- Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We are sorry to hear you are disappointed in the wattage of your new microwave. This model offers 800 Watts. We recommend making sure you have your power level set to 10%. When using the Popcorn pad on your control if you find that the brand of popcorn you use underpops or overcooks consistently, you can add or subtract 10% to the automatic popping time. To add time, press Popcorn, press 9 immediately after the oven starts for an extra 10% of the automatic popping time. To subtract time, after pressing Popcorn, press 1 immediately after the oven starts for 10% less of the automatic popping time. We hope the more you use your microwave the more you will like it.
