Sadly the built-in GE we had stopped working. This one is one inch too wide and high to fit the space but works on the counter below. The interior size is great.

Nice size, quiet, a little underpowered

We love the fact that this microwave occupies almost half the depth of a comparable microwave. Interior capacity is fine, with room to comfortable accomodate a full size dinner plate. It falls on the lower end of power output for similiar microwaves, at 800 watts. The power is passable, but I did not feel like the cooking was particularly even. Quiet. It sits level on the countertop, without any additional shimming (this is too much to ask for some brands, apparently). Looks nice on the exterior, and I did not have trouble reading the control panel, as others have mentioned, except in low light. Interior lighting is fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great looking microwave

Had an almost identical one before. This fits perfectly in the space we had created. The previous one lasted 10 years. Very good service.

Best Replacement for GE Profile

We had a GE Profile for 20 years and the best thing is that this new microwave fits on the shelf. It is a bit higher than the former Profile, but that was OK for us. It performs similarly to the last GE Profile. Appliance companies should bear in mind the space requirements for replacing older appliances. The door opening and closing is a little louder with this microwave. It somehow doesn't seem as solid/heavy as the former. (GE engineers, are you reading this?)

Perfect fit and operation

We were looking for a microwave option that would still allow use of the countertop. And GE was the only brand that I could find to be able to under cabinet mount. Great addition to our kitchen appliances.
