This is the 3rd GE microwave of this model that I have bought. ONLY because it is the only one which fits in the space for the microwave. Each one has lasted less amount of time. I think I will remodel the kitchen to get a bigger one.

Looks nice, but...

We had the old space saver oven which we really liked but had to replace it. We were disappointed that GE increased the sized of the microwave which made it extremely challenging to fit it in the old space, and at the same they reduced the power from 1100 to 800 watts.

This Model is very specific to built in spaces. Recommend GE make a newer replacement model with better features but same size to fit in existing spaces.

The unit fits the space but not a great microwave

this was replacement for another space saver microwave. I had a limited space for this built in microwave and needed to purchase this model. The problems are the following: 1>the frame that holds the microwave in place is not as sturdy as the prior frame. It is only secured at the bottom. the prior frame supported the oven from both the top and the bottom, 2>The heating produced by the microwave is very uneven.

Reliable Work Horse

This is our 3rd GE Space Saver Microwave oven we have purchased while living in our home 41 years. It is versatile in the variety of foods that can be cooked and or reheated. Very easy to use. My favorite everyday lunch is to steam fresh veggies, they come just right! My only complaint is the cord coming out from the back is not flush mounted, which cancels out the space saving aspect as it sits on my counter taking up usable prep space
