All of a sudden the product would not turn on . Check outlet with volt meter 120VAC. Troubleshooting in the manual is poor... it say to re-plug in.
Would like to hear from GE on potential fixes.

Stupid door hinge design revision

The microwave is fine, replaced a GE spacemaker with same footprint underneath cabinets. The old one had offset hinges allowing unit to be installed flush against cabinet wall. New hinges are not and door opening is impeded, door gouging cabinet. The 25 year old design was better! But this is about the only model that fits space.

We are on our 3rd microwave of this model as the 1st one lasted about 8 yrs, the second one lasted 32 days. We gave GE a another try ... but if this one disappoints, it will be 3rd strike and we will have to look to change brands to be loyal to.

The unit was slightly larger than our previous model but we were able to fit it with minor adjustments to the opening in our cupboards. Works well and almost same features as earlier model. Like the "Add 30 seconds" button...... This unit is very quiet running and so is the "finished" alarm. Older model was very noisy in all respects. Would buy 2 if needed them.
