I purchased this model in 2021 and the control panel where the time displays - some of the pixels are not appearing. As a result I chose to purchase another one (restricted as it has a trim kit and built in). The model has not changed but the costs and installationdisposal fees have increased. Disappointed that the microwave lasted only 3 years before I had to replace it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Expensive Limited Product!

Can't read the buttons at all! Does not have am/pm setting for the clock so you can can't program it to turn on or off at a certain time. For the price, I'm surprised it's not wi-fi enabled so you must physically push buttons to use it.
I replaced virtually the same machine purchased in 2003 - that one was sturdier and had more features! And GE discontinued my appliance color - Slate! So my new mw does not match my other appliances.

the size is nice for the application we need but the product arrived dented on the back of the microwave packed in styrofoam which indicated it was dented before it was packed for shipment...
