Terrible microwave

Doesn't heat/cook food well and under pops or burns your popcorn. Also you cannot pop single server bags at all. I don't recommend this microwave and would not buy this model again.

Not much power for the price

We bought the microwave about 2 months ago. We picked it based on nits size as we have a cabinet it needed to fit into. It looks great and has plenty of pre programs options but on the highest power it takes twice as long as my last microwave to cook anything especially a potato.

Small microwave big power

Downsizing from 1800 watt, I expected radical differences in duration of cook times but that has not been the case. I use it generally just for reheating and for cooking vegetables that "steam in bag". I did not want it over my range. It is cabinet-depth which made off-the-counter an option.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I expected this capable microwave to have lasted at least 7 years, not barely 1 year.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write your review on your microwave. We’re sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue and would like to help. If you haven’t already done so, please try plugging another small appliance into your microwave outlet to be sure it has power to it.
If the outlet is fine, you might want to try leaving the microwave unplugged for a short period of time or reset your circuit breaker to reset the internal circuitry.
We hope this helps. If service is needed, we recommend scheduling a service appointment with an authorized GE Appliance technician who can accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can schedule an appointment online at:

Disappointing

I bought this model to replace my GE JEM31BF undercabinet microwave oven that no longer heated. This is the only model of the same power that could be mounted the same way under the cabinet. So basically I had to buy this model to replace my old one. So here are the disappointing differences:
1. Screw holes were not in the same place for mounting 2. Size is a bit taller so that items I stored on the counter under the old microwave will no longer clear the new microwave 3. Even though the new microwave is supposedly larger (ie., by cubic feet), it has a smaller turntable and less clearance from the back to the front such that I can no longer use my splatter cover - it is now too large for the new microwave 4. The controls on the older microwave were easier to see due to lighter background on the numbers/lettering. With the new one I have to shine a light on the controls to see what I am programming. 5. Quality is not as good in the assembly -- there are uneven gaps in the way the wall fit inside the microwave 6. The controls are harder to activate. Sometimes I cannot get a connection when I press the numbers/functions pads. And they are flimsy compared to the old controls - They are easily dented when pressing on them. 7. Although I have only used the microwave for a day, it appears that at least one of the best features of the old one has disappeared. This is to select "reheat" and let the microwave figure it out. Now you have to push "reheat" and select a code for the type of dish you are warming up - the few selections to pick from are not very useful to me. 8. This is an expensive microwave oven for what it does. One can get much more powerful and higher quality for half the price - however if you want it to mount to your cabinet with just 4 screws this is all that is out there. A better option for me next time is to make a bracket under the cabinet to hold a microwave oven.

I had no other choice

For our home remodel, I purchased this microwave. It last 17 months. I had to go buy a new one today. Because of the type of other appliances I have, and the cabinet that was made just for this one, I had to buy the exact same model. I had no other choice.

No Other Option

The 'board' on my SpaceSaver II burned out after 12 years. My appliance store said this is my only option for my under-the-cabinet location. I expected this new oven to be the same or better .. it is not! It is tinny, cheap quality in comparison to my old oven, TIMER dings 'once' quietly (hard to hear even in the kitchen), and the REHEAT function is poor requiring additional information which is hard to discern. I now just use a time selection. The feet/underside is visible and looks like a countertop model was 'stuck' up under the cabinet. My review is same as abcd9999. Not a happy camper!!
