We bought this appliance as this is the only one that matches exactly what we need - small enough to fit the space we have, can be mounted under cabinet and is black! It is a good quality and when mounted it is very quiet (free standing it was a bit noisy)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Digital clock is brighter

We purchased this model because it is the only one we have found that fits under our kitchen cabinet. The previous one lasted about 7 years. This one is not as good, as for some reason they moved all of the buttons on the keypad. The door is more difficult to open and is quite a bit louder. For some reason, they reduced the size of the turntable. Every time they update this model, in their great wisdom they change location of the holes for mounting it under the cabinet. Wouldn't want to be consistent would we? My kitchen cabinet bottom looks like Swiss cheese. Like I said earlier, the only reason we purchased this one is it is the only one that will fit under our kitchen cabinet.

I bought this model to replace the PEM31SM3SS model. This is a cheap imitation. It sounds like a tin can when you close the door and the numbers are too small and not readable.

I purchased two of these as replacements as both of my existing ones stopped working. I am rather disappointed in the new versions. They are less wattage, and are made mostly of plastic and the buttons have been rearranged in an illogical order. I really liked my old ones. They were great. Thought I would replace them with the same model/type as I had.

Worst Microwave Ever

We bought this microwave to replace a previous GE Profile unit that had served us well for almost 10 years. From the very start this one was incinsistent in the way it cooked - undercooking one time and then burning the food the next. It also has an issue with condensation inside the unit that is so bad we had to move the microwave out from the wood cabinet that housed the older unit and on to the counter because it constantly drips water on to the surface when you open the unit door. You have to mop up the water from the floor of the microwave every time you cook something. This unit is absolutely a piece of junk and I would never buy another GE unit again.

Change in profile series

I am replacing previous GE profile (which only lasted 3 years ) with this newer model. Noisy when operated compared with previous model and not as sleek looking. Much boxier while previous model had curved lines. Needed to purchase this model due to space. They also changed position of under cabinet bolts so had to redrill new holes. Also pricey compared to units of this size.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
