No power

It takes twice the time heat than my old one. I oaid the same amount so it doesn’t seem right to pay more for less power.

Works well and quiet but has design weaknesses

This is the only microwave made that will fit a limited depth cabinet (15inches} as a "built-in".
The standard microwave functions work well and it is very quiet in operation.
This model is 800 watts and replaces an earlier version that was 1300 watts which is ok for my use, but a notable difference.
Except for the clock, the touch panel does not have backlighting so operation in low light requires a flashlight or dedicated switchable lamp - that's an annoyance.
The latch spring is very strong and closing the oven door gives a loud, cheap-sounding 'clang'. This can be overcome by depressing the latch and carefully closing the oven door while releasing the latch spring - a two-handed operation unless you have long fingers and train yourself to handle door closure and spring control with one hand - it can be done.
For the price paid, the touch panel should be lit and door closure should be one-handed easy, smooth, and mostly silent.

Malfunctioning in less than 2 years

Our microwave is less than 2 years old and it has started making buzzing/humming sound when plugged in with the door closed, and not ‘on.’ If I open the door the buzz stops, close the door and it begins buzzing again, while not turned on. This appears to be a common problem with GE and unacceptable at less than 2 years old at the price point. This is the second one we’ve had to buy in recent years and neither have lasted. GE is not what it used to be, not even close.

Rusted Out after less than 2 years

Disappointed. Purchased new in 2021. In less than 2 years, the interior and metal door frame rusted, requiring me to replace the unit. Unit only used about 6 mo. of the year, as it is installed in second home. Poor manufacturing.

Very disappointed!

We feel very fortunate to have found a replacement for our old GE Profile microwave (12 years old) as our built-in cabinet is a small size and the 1.1 cu.ft. size is extremely difficult to find today. We loved everything about our old GE Profile microwave, from the outer appearance to the many features. I can’t say that about the new replacement.
1. The push buttons are difficult to maneuver.
2. The door is difficult and noisy to close.
3. The quality of the stainless steel is not the same quality as our previous one. Very dull looking.
4. There is only ONE warning sound when the timer goes off.
5. The “Potato” feature does not function as well—no stopping to turn the potato over during the cycle.
6. Cost for new microwave is not in keeping with the quality.
It seems that since GE has the market on this microwave size, your company should provide a better quality product or to at least equal to the one that was produced 12 years ago. I have two more GE Profile appliances in my kitchen to replace when they are no longer functioning. I most likely will not replace them with another GE product.
The one feature that I do like on the recently purchased microwave is the ability to turn on/off the turntable.

Worst product

This is the forth microwave…same model that I have bought in the last 15 years. The most recent only lasted 16 months. Horrible experience but I am stuck with the opening size of my cabinet. Couldn’t be more disappointed with this product. GE should be ashamed of producing something that fails in such a short period of time. Borderline criminal

Only under 12" cabinate microwave

Of course it works like a charm. But, it is sleek, good looking, easy to clean inside and outside.
