Too big!

I bought this to replace my GE Spacemaker II which after just four years had most of its internal paint peel away into our food (GE says online not to worry that this is safe) and which then started to make a horrible noise when turned on (the prior one had lasted six years before the paint peeled and my family demanded a new one). I did NOT want to buy another GE, but other microwaves were too big for our custom made slot in our kitchen cabinet. So we bought this - and guess what? - this new model is 1/4 inch too big to fit. Incredibly frustrated all around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this model because it was the only one that fit the space. So far it's working well, only a few months old. The door gets stuck every now and again. The operation of this micro is very very quiet... don't even know it's running, which is a major plus. Just hoping it lasts a long time as the reviews we found weren't so promising, but again, the only model that fit the space. Keeping our fingers crossed as we are happy so far!!!

Replaced older model GE microwave

This arrived with a front door that opened once. Turns out part of the opening mechanism was not completely 'clicked' in place and had slipped. A free service call fixed this to my satisfaction. I like the product very much with 2 niggling issues: 1. The keypad keys require more pressure to work that the previous model and 2. Because of the greater pressure required you can easily move the very right side of the microwave while pushing the buttons. I'm sure we'll get used to this over time.

Have a small kitchen and was able to put it on a shelf which have me more counter space !

Needs more power foer its size.

I bought this product because of the performance of a former microwave made by your company. This one is about the same size as the last (Has to fit in a small over counter space) but lacks the power of the first, which had virtually the same overall outside dimensions. So, that was disappointing. But it has a turntable, which we like. Overall, I'd prefer to have the first model we had.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

new microwave oven

I bought this microwave about 2 months ago after seeing online that the GE spacemaker is being discontinued. My GE spacemaker is 17 years old and is still working but with space issues I decided to buy a new one. The buttons on the panel are very hard to push and the panel is so dark it is hard to see the numbers. On my old microwave the panel was raised and the numbers were very easy to push on. The panel should have been lighted so the numbers could been seen easier. I only like that the new microwave has the turntable that I did not have before. I kept the old microwave and put it in my basement since it still works. If in the future another manufacturer would make a spacemaker microwave I would consider buying it to replace this microwave.
