Great slim microwave

I needed a microwave to fit in a narrow spot and this is perfect. It's not too tall or deep and holds my larger plates/platters. Great microwave!

Poor lighting on display panel

Purchased this to replace 17yr old GE microwave. Unhappy with the control panel as it is very hard to read due to poor color contrast between wording and background.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this microwave to replace the predecessor of this model that I had for 15 years. As soon as the deliveryman took it out of the box, I was immediately struck by the fact that it felt much less solid than my previous model. Many of the materials feel quite flimsy, although I will acknowledge that the overall look of the microwave is quite attractive. I bought this specific model because it is the only one that fits in the cabinet niche. As others have mentioned, it is very hard to read the display as the print is very light gray and does not offer enough contrast with the
background. The timer buzzes once when time is up and if you are not in the room when it goes off, you will not realize that it has gone off. The previous microwave timer would beep continuously until you turned it off and was a much better system. Also, the button that you push to open the door is stainless steel, which is attractive, yet obviously will retain fingerprints. It's difficult to clean because it pushes in when you try to wipe it.
The microwave seems to reheat/defrost/cook adequately for my purposes, although it does seem to be a little inconsistent.

I like many of the features of this product but the alert re: the timer is much softer than the previous GE microwave that I had. It chimes only once, but very softly so it is easy to miss. Perhaps there is a way to adjust the "volume"?

This microwave looks and works great. The only thing it lacks is a volume control for the signals. Otherwise, this is a great microwave at a great price.

I don't use the microwave often, which is why I chose a counter top. I did install it in the cabinet with the trim package. Looks great!
