We bought this washing machine at the end of December 2018. As of 3/14/19 it stopped working. No power nothing. I’m on my 3rd service appt today 3/26/19. We spent all this money on a washer that worked for less than 3 months. Not to mention not being able to wash clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very unreliable - broke twice within a year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ALTHOUGH THIS WASHER APPEARS TO BE WELL BUILT IT DOES NOT WASH CLOTHES VERY WELL. THERE IS NO AGITATION OR TUMBLING/TURNOVER THAT IS ESSENTIAL TO THE WASHING PROCESS. THERE IS NO AGITATOR TO MOVE THE CLOTHES AND IT DOES NOT HAVE THE LOBES OF A FRONT LOAD WASHER EITHER. THE WASH BASKET TURNS AND THE CLOTHES TURN IN UNISON WITH IT CREATING A SWIRLING ACTION AND IT JUST DOESN'T GET THE JOB DONE. FURTHERMORE, THE WASH BASKET ONLY FILLS LESS THAN 1/4 OF THE WAY LEAVING A FULL LOAD OF CLOTHES FOR THE MOST PART ABOVE THE WATER LINE SO THEY DON'T GET WASHED. I END UP ADDING WATER USING A GARDEN HOSE EACH TIME I DO A LOAD OF LAUNDRY TO COMPENSATE FOR THE LACK OF WATER AND AS A RESULT MORE DETERGENT IS NEEDED.

Great washer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased another brand and after a year had to replace it. Decided on this washer because of steam option. I noticed right away that clothes were cleaner and when I used the sanitizer cycle items were clean and fluffy not stiff as other brand. Cycles take a little bit longer, maybe 10 minutes or so but I would rather compromise that than clean. Also after spin cycle load has less water in them which translates to shorter dryer time. I have 3 active kids and do daycare so a good washer is important.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this machine now for just short of 3 weeks and I’ve been able to wash various size loads without issue. Best is that there is no center agitator to wind clothes around or get them wound around. Efficiency is a major bonus as it fills with only the amount of water needed, no more guessing if the load is extra small, medium or super.

Purchased this model with a 5 year extended warranty! Thank goodness at 4.5 years the motor is shot and after calling LG and having a certified repairman come to the house he said the motors are on back order. Are you kidding me is this washer prone to bad motors? Why do I have to wait to get it repaired ? Plus it had a load of laundry in it when it broke so what do I do now let wet clothes sit around until I can have GL find a motor? What good is it to have and pay for a warranty when you don’t have parts to repair a 4.5 year old washer this is not acceptable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could give this washer negative 5 stars. This washer does not get clothes clean, at all. The wash cycle looks more like a hand wash cycle, with almost no movement. The spin cycle is so fast that the clothes come out almost dry and full of wrinkles, that don't come out. The clothes come out with dog hair still on them. The clothes on top are not submerged in water, just wet. The only thing I'm thankful for with this purchase is that I figured all this out while still in the 1 month window to return it with no questions asked.
