Worst ever!!! Do not buy!!!!!!

The toaster doesn't work!! The handles you use to get the toaster activated once toast is in place will not stick this not allowing elements to heat even when you hold the handles down!!!

Do not buy!

I bought is 4 months ago. In the beginning both sides worked. However, after awhile only the right side would work. This is a total waste of money!

Bought it to replace another that had half the elements not working. New out of the box, this had the same amount of elements NOT working as the old one. The middle on all four sides barely, if at all glows.
As others have said, too small for modern sized bread, the bagel feature does not seem to work(all elements, that work, still heat/toast) and it is inconsistent on any setting and burns the bread if not watched carefully.
DON'T BUY IT!!!!

Decent at best

This toaster does a decent job toasting, though it seems a bit inconsistent. It's the simple user interface things that aren't very good. For example, the dial for lighter/darker doesn't have any markings on it to tell you what number you have it on. I had to color in parts of the dial with a marker at 1 and 6 to make it easier. Also, the bagel button doesn't seem to actually do anything. I tested it with a piece of bread and it came out exactly the same both times. Finally, I can't get a piece of bread out if there without manual intervention. The eject doesn't bring it high enough. Customer service was very good, but the two products I've had have been pretty poor.

Very good toaster after 7 years

I have had this toaster for about 7 years, purchased during a JC Penny sale. The toaster is still operating as well as when it was new. I have only found one minor fault with mine, but it has an easy work around. When toasting bread back to back, the second batch of toast tends to over toast in comparison to the first batch. I found that by letting the toaster rest about a minute between batches works fine. I leave mine set to the bagel setting all the time. I have not experimented with the setting, I just want toast. Bagels come out as crispy or soft as you want them. I have also found that I get more consistent results by using the 1-2 setting, and re-toasting if necessary, rather than going to a higher setting. Is it a perfect appliance....no, but once I figured out the idiosyncrasies, I can get consistent toasted bread, bagels, or English muffins. Durability goes a long way in my book, even with the minor quirks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Junk Toaster!

I've had this toaster for approximately 3 months. I've used it maybe 5 times successfully. After that, one side just wouldn't clasp and I was stuck with one side. I've used it about 10 times since then and go to use it today and nothing. Neither side will catch and it sparks each time I push the lever down. This thing is a piece of junk and a joke. Won't be buying Sunbeam products ever again.
