Great Product! Great Customer Service!

I actually received this unit 2 years ago for Christmas, and it has really served me well! I never got around to writing a review on it before, but after the wonderful experience I had with the customer service from this company I had to write one. After having this unit for almost 2 years my accessory hose broke. I contacted the customer service about possibly purchasing a replacement hose for the unit. After informing me that it was not possible to replace the accessory hose, the customer services rep offered to help me send the unit in to be repaired or replaced. Even though my warranty was up they replaced my unit with a brand new unit, and the only cost to me was the shipping to ship my broken unit back! I was amazed at how fast the turn around time was for everything. All of my emails were replied to within 24 hours, they were all very friendly. I had a brand new unit delivered to me in less then 2 weeks after I sent mine back, during the Christmas season.
You've got a customer for life here!
I can't wait to get the mason jar sealing attachments now that I have a working accessory hose again!

Why did we wait and waste all that food and money? Should have gotten this years ago! We like to buy in bulk and cook enough for lots of left overs. I tried using the regular zipper bags with very limited success. After reading all of the user reviews, especially focusing on the "negatives", we bought the V3835. We've used it 10 times and it's VERY easy to use! Yes, there's what seems like waste in sealing. However, the store bought sealed packages have about the same amount of "waste", so, to me, that's acceptable. I figure our savings buying in bulk and buying on-sale items, coupled with no lost food due to freezer burn, will more than off-set the cost of the bags due to the "waste".
Bottom line: if you're shopping for a vacuum sealer, I highly recommend the FoodSaver brand AND the V3835.

I could do a complete commercial. We have owned 3 foodsaver in 15 or so years. We use it every day. We save thousands of dollars buying in large quantities and then sealing in smaller portions. The reason I am writing this is these people stand by their product. I was sealing 40 lbs of chicken breast this weekend when my machine stopped working. After realizing it wasn't something I could fix I told my wife to buy another one, 4th. Today I called customer service hoping for a repair shop suggestion so we had a spare when the one we just bought eventually breaks. (As I said we use this to seal at least a 1,000 lbs of food a year for our family so I getting 5 years use is more than I could ask. Well I was shocked when the customer service person told me I was still under warranty. Ship it back and they would send me a new one. I shipped my unit and they are shipping me a new one. I would never have expected this. What an incredible company that stands by their product even when the customer didn't even know it was under warranty!! I am keeping the one we ordered so I have a spare in the future. Foodsaver has a life long customer in my family!!!

What a delight

I had a much older version of a vacumn sealer system from Food Saver. What a delight this model is to use. No standing there holding the lid down to get a seal on the vacumn process or sealing the bag and this one stands up with a retractable hose for the containers you sell. I will start using them again. It was such a hassel to pull the old model out every time I wanted to seal a container. I almost threw them all away. So glad I kept them as this model makes it easy and is so nice looking on my counter. Thanks.

Once accustomed to using the FoodSaver, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it! It enables me to buy expensive items (such as premium meats) when on sale and freeze them without any concerns that they will be other than perfectly fresh when I defrost and use them. Fresh vegetables remain "fresh" and cheeses, etc., may be refrigerated after opening and kept for some time before reusing them and enjoying their flavor as if just bought and opened. A truly remarkable device!!! Thank you FoodSaver!!!! I have bought several for friends and family.

I purchased the Foodsaver unit a couple of years ago. It is easy to use and has resulted in enormous savings on my food purchases. Ordering Foodsaver bags online is very easy and the delivery is prompt. I would recommend these items to anyone interested in avoiding food spoilage and preservation.

This is my first foodsaver purchase, I am absolutely thrilled with. I buy a lot of bulk food and meat and I can portion it out with ease and it stays fresh. I have a family of 5 so this has made my life so much easier, as well as my kids like it. I love the retractable cord it has not tangled or given me any issues. I wish the attachment for the deli bags would have been included, but I got this item on sale and very pleased with it.
