I bought my first one about 5 years ago and it still works great. I wanted a new upright for the kitchen so I bought a new one. Still happy with both units. The only thing I like better in the flat one is when I seal produce bags. I found it a challage sometimes hitting the sensor in the upright.

I just finished processing 35 pounds of venison burger. The machine worked great. I was a little nervous about "operator error" but it went really well. I did notice that I had to let the machine cool off every so often. I think I may have overdone it with my new kitchen toy. I'm thinking of getting this for my brother-in-law and his wife. What a cool machine!

I love my old foodsaver. It is getting old and i need to replace it. I have been told that this model is excactly what I need to keep up with all the meat our family goes thru.
