build a better rack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher is an engineering marvel except for the racks that hold the dishes. The dishes I can manage to fit in get such a better wash than from my old dishwasher, but I can fit far fewer in because the racks that hold the dishes seem to have been engineered to be too small and tight to hold my dishes. Wish Bosch offered alternatives.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The reviews are 100% accurate. The infrared light is truly needed because it is so quiet. Dishes are dry and spotless! I was so pleased with this dishwasher I replaced my fridge with Bosch.

Quiet and Clean!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have suffered with bad dishwashers for a long time. Finally, I got my dream BOSCH dishwasher! Sure enough, there is no more baked on residue. Everythiung just comes out spotless. The noise is also way less than other units. I can't recommend Bosch enough!

My Bosch Dishwasher

I find this machine rather hard to understand and use. The user manual is not detailed enough. It does not always go on when I follow the steps in the manual. But it does wash the dishes well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not elated so far

Habmvibg triuble sorting out how to get this machine to do a good job. Have to be very careful not to use too much detergent to avoid residue. Also doesn't clean well if any food residue on dishes.

Ascenta dishwasher

a poor choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As my repairman told me that it would cost $450-$500 to repair my KitchenAid dishwasher I went on Consumer Reports website which shoed this Bosch Ascenta dishwasher model SHX3AR75UC to be rated the best of ALL dishwashers available in USA. This dishwasher performs extremely poorly. I use the recommended detergent and rinse aid. Normally soiled dished do not get cleaned on the normal cycle. Even after spacing bowls and plates by every other row many times the dishwasher doesn't clean them. That plus the fact that the rack system is poorly designed means that I can only load about 2/3 of what I could load in my previous dishwashers. And the silverware rack is a joke. I space the silverware two rows apart and many times they don't get properly cleaned. Bosch would have been better off make a traditional open silware baskets with FLAT bottoms so I could load the silverware in handle up. That way I could unload the CLEAN silverware without touching the eating portion of the utensil. Maybe this one will last longer than those ones did but it's small consolation. Due to the worldwide shortage I had to wait four months for this dishwasher. I think I was better off when I had to wash everything by hand during those four months. And forget about trying to decipher the owner's manual instructions for determining your settings. It's ridiculous.

Great cleaning power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishes come out clean, even cleans peanut butter off of silverware. The food trap is easy to get out and clean. Racks are adjustable, but not intuitive or easy to fit normal sized dishes or cookware. The silverware rack with individual slots is helpful (for kids and adults). Even without rinse aid, dishes come out clean and fairly dry.
