we really liked our old Bosch dishwasher much better since it totally dried everything including plastics without even adding any extra drying agent. The new unit is somewhat quiter but requires much more effort to open the door.

It's like a TV commercial

With prior dishwashers I've owned, I always had to "pre-wash" everything (especially if it had caked-on cheese) and I was always stuck drying everything by hand after the cycle. I read the manual that came with this dishwasher, and it advised _not_ to pre-rinse anything--instead, just scrape off any big bits and otherwise just put it into the dishwasher as-is. I scoffed. I read some comments online, though, which basically said--look, it sounds crazy, but give it a shot. What's the worst that could happen? So I did--I ran my first load with completely filthy dishes and silverware, and *wow*! Not only did everything come out of the cycle sparkling clean, but also it was completely dry! I felt like a housewife in a TV commercial. This has literally changed my life.
I would recommend this to a friend!

On/Off feature

The only complaint I would have about this dishwasher is that it has to be turned off. My other one turned off at the end. I sometimes start the dishwasher late at night, forgetting it has to be turned off, and when I get up in the morning, it's still on.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are very happy with our new dishwasher. It is super quiet when it runs! It's a bit smaller than my previous dishwasher and is loaded differently, so that is still a challenge for me. But dishes are clean and the drying cycle dries them completely.

Bosch Ascenta Dishwasher

Followed directions in book thoroughly and still Can't get my dishes to dry. I use to have an LG and I highly recommend the LG dishwasher. I was always told that Bosch was the Cadillac of dishwashers. I prefer LG. Although my Bosch is stainless steel but smaller inside. I could get more dishes in my LG. I really wish I would have bought another LG. Although I'm still learning more about my Bosch, I've only had it for a couple months. Hopefully it will grow on me. But still not my favorite brand. Would not recommend this Bosch model.

dishwasher does not dry

The tub remains dripping wet after every cycle; some dishes are partially dry but most are not. I understand it uses condensation instead of a heating element but it does not work. And yes, I use rinse-aide.
