Satisfied - but …

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned two Bosch dishwashers and loved them both. When the last one needed replacement, skimpy availability left me with no choice but the Ascenta line or a months long wait for the premium model. I resigned myself to the plastic tub floor, but expected other features to be mostly the same across models.
The first disappointment is the flip out stemware racks. We rarely use them for stemware, preferring to hand wash, but they make handy places to put oversized utensils or even shorter glassware or small bowls. In older models the design made the racks easy to swing up out of the way when not needed and flip down for use. Now they're designed so that the stowed position is flipped DOWN, meaning that if you have glasses already in place, they're IN FRONT of the rack and it can't be deployed without first unloading the items in the way. Also, because they will not swing up past horizontal, once deployed its nearly impossible to get anything positioned in the space below them - even if there's ample room for the thing there. Before, we could just lift the rack a bit and put something under it. Really, that was a bad design decision rendering a useful feature essentially useless. (Note to the engineering department: your Turkish competitor has a pretty spiffy take on this feature. The rack flips up when not in use, and its deployed height can be adjusted and locked in place to accommodate different sized items in the space below it.)
The second disappointment is the configuration of the utensil baskets. Maybe the optional replacements are better, but the default setup is two separate baskets, where before the two baskets could be snapped together to allow them to be removed together for unloading. This is not such a big deal, and as I said, maybe the optional upgrade addresses this. I guess I'd just got used to the convenience and hadn't expected not to be able to join them.
Finally, while the plastic tub floor is aesthetically less pleasing, I had resigned myself to that. And I may be speaking beyond my expertise in suggesting this, but I'm pretty sure that the absence of stainless steel there affects the drying action of the machine. As I understand it, these units use high water temperature and evaporation to dry. The steel retains heat better, creating a better opportunity for the water to evaporate more completely. With the plastic, the temperature falls too rapidly for the drying to complete. I expect a few puddles on upturned concavities, but utensils in the basket are almost never dry when we open up after a cycle. And if we wait long enough they will dry, but will have spots. (Yes we're using a rinse aid and the high heat drying option.)
All that said, it's a very nice product with good build quality, and it mostly meets our expectations. The sound level is a bit higher that our previous model, but perfectly acceptable.

Excellent quality & performance

We replaced a higher end competitor's model, and there was still no comparison. Excellent craftsmanship and design

My new dishwasher.

HA HA HA seriously it holds more ustensils and dishes than my old dishwasher did - - and they all come as clean as anyone would want. The silverware baskets could use a re-design, and would be better with one rather than two smaller individual items. The glassware holders are also limiting as compared to my old unit.
