Mold Issue

Horrible unit. Do not buy!
When the unit completes it's cycle it remains wet inside. With no way to vent the air to the exterior the moisture has no where to go. So, as it cools everything is soaking wet. It's akin to closing and openeing the bathroom door after a shower. If your shower has a fan/vent to the exterior, so should this terrible unit.
A result of all this has been dishwasher that permamently remains wet inside which has promoted disgusting mold growth. The only solution is to keep the door open until all the moisture can dry and vacate. Don't buy.

Your dishwasher is designed to dry using the PureDry® condensation drying system. This is an energy-efficient, closed drying system that does not pull in outside air or use an exposed heating element. This process works by heating the dishes with hot water during the final rinse. The cooler stainless steel pulls moisture from the dishes. The inside of the unit will be wet at the end of the cycle, but the dishes should be dry. It's important to note that plastics don’t retain heat as well as other dishware materials and don’t dry as well. To improve drying results, we recommend turning on the Intensive Drying feature. It holds a lot and cleans really really well. We are so pleased we made this choice. We highly recommend this dishwasher. You will not be disappointed.

Old Bosch vs. New Bosch

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned a Bosch dishwasher previously, I bought this one without a second thought. After 2 months, I can say it has exceptional cleaning power. I am less pleased with the design of the loading racks, nothing I could have forseen when viewing it in the store. The upper right fold down rack has a break in it; why? It leaves less area to lay things down in like long utensils, etc. The old vesion of the bottom rack was better configured as well. I am now doing a Jenga puzzle strategy to fit in bowls, plates, etc. Also not a fan of the untesil basket. It's too fussy. Would prefer an open design. I did try folding the currrent basket sides down; no go. The utensils just fall over and out of the basket.
Could have purchased the next model up with a 3rd rack but could not justify $300 price difference. Live and learn.
