Quiet but no short cycle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just moved into a new condo and decided the old GE dish washer had to be replaced before the EPAor DOE issued even more onerous regulations limiting the performance of dish washers, as they have already done.
We've had mostly Bosch dishwashers in the past so and we've liked them it was a no-brainer to go with Bosch again. This model is far easier to load than the last Bosch that we'd bought only a couple of years ago. It promised a short cycle but the installer recommended against using it, except maybe during s party, because of the extra stress this cycle put on the machine. The Bosch we had before the last one - bought about 15 years ago - had a short cycle that wprked very well and the washer was still working well 9 years later when we sold that condo.
It is quiet so the 2 hour 20 minute cycle is OK. We have an open plan living/dining area so a noisy dishwasher would not be welcome. We scrape our dishes and rinse them before loading them. So faar, three months later, everything has come out clean and streak free.
I suspect the limitations on short cycles derive from the EPA/DOE regulations on water usage and detergent formulation so I don't blame Bosch for the limitation on short cycles.
I'd recommend this model. It is not the most expensive or quietest Bosch model - but a good compromise between price and performance.

Pretty nice...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Read a lot of reviews, it seems the folks who had a problem with their unit, Bosch responded to the complaint and tried to assist. So far our dishwasher is performing well, it is a little smaller than our old one but is a good size for a couple. Swishy sound it makes when it is in early cycle could put you to sleep.

Best Dishwasher

Rack set up

The way the racks are set up, this dishwasher does not hold very much. Impossible to load pans and plates on bottom rack, there just isn't enough room for washing after large meal with lots of dishes. Very quiet, nice looking, but very inefficient rack setup. Disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
