A few just died but mostly they were replaced because they were too loud or didn't get my dishes clean. My Bosch is perfect. It's not even the top of the line but it is far better than any dishwasher I ever had. I LOVE MY BOSCH!!

Simple but works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Bosch dishwasher is the most basic model. It offers multiple wash cycles and a time delay on starting them but little else. I find that I use three buttons only: On/off, start and the auto cycle. That's pretty much it--no need to spend a thousand dollars on a bunch of other fancy options. The one thing I do wish my machine had was a rinse cycle, because I live alone and it can take multiple days to fill up the machine with dishes. It does have a very short wash cycle that could be used to rinse the dishes but it's really much longer than usual rinse cycles on other machines and so I don't bother. Even after allowing some food residue to dry on dishes for days, though, they come out very clean when I finally do run the machine.

I find dishwasher is very quiet most of the time. Thyere is a noticable load clunk noise when something cycles on or off. (water valve maybe?) this is second one I've had and would recomend Bosch. For the majority of a wash cycle it barely noticable.

Pleasantly surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher was my third major appliance purchase in the past 6 months, and I have to say it wasn't a welcomed purchase. However, it turns out that its been a big improvement over the unit it replaced. It's taken a bit to get used to; the racks and dividers inside are arranged differently and I'm still learning how to load it effectively, and I'm also getting used to the various settings. Overall, there's been a very noticeable improvement in the cleaning of the dishes. And, the cleanliness of the dishes is very consistant. I would not have thought there would be much difference between one dishwasher and another, but there clearly is. I'm usually the one in the house who loads and unloads the dishwasher, and I have seen for myself how much better this unit cleans. I've even given it a few 'tests' and it's really proven itself. Oh, and it's much quieter than the previous dishwasher. I had learned to accept a certain amount of noise from various large appliances, but this dishwaher is pleasantly and noticeably quiet. That's and unexpected bonus, and proves the claims in the advertising I've seen. I did the installation myself, and the instructions were very clear and there were no real surprises. Doing the work myself let me see the various materials and features of the unit, and that has added confidence to my purchase. It's a very nice dishwasher.
