What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Owner Manual is somewhat confusing, especially with different models in the same manual.
It took a couple of washes to get the hang of not having a heating element, which the Best Buy store manager told us about. Had to call the company a couple of times for clarity on instructions and have to say, of all the companies I have ever called for info, their customer service is second to none. Rep stayed on line and walked me through every step and did not hang up until she knew that I fully understood product. Now that we are use to it, we would never buy another brand. Dishes, glasses, silverware and other items all come up spotless. For the money, it can't be beat. As for quietness, you hardly know it's running. Super product!

What's great about it: Quiet

The best thing about this machine is it is quiet. It holds a lot of dishes, but I place them every other slot trying to get the dishes clean. I have found that if I want clean dishes, I have to wash them before I put them in the dishwasher. I understand that with baked-on food, but not for regular plates and bowls. It doesn't turn itself off, so if you run your dishwasher when you go to bed at night, it will still be on in the morning. I thought the stainless steel tub was to help with the drying of the dishes, but I find opening the door and letting the dishes air dry works better. If I leave it closed for too long, I end up with spots of mold on the dishes, especially the plastic ones. I do not recommend this dishwasher, which I bought because of the "Bosch" name, and I won't buy another Bosch.

What's great about it: syle is attractive
What's not so great: quality of construction is inadequate
I expected better quality for this washer. The racks are thin and poorly coated. The utensil tray is adequate but cheap compared to our old Kitchenaid. There is no adjustment to the upper tray to accomodate tall items. The tub is only lined with a stainless shell., not solid .The pump motor is small. Cleaning is adequate although some cycles are way too long, even the normal cyale is almost 2 hours. If it lasts for 5 years, I'd be surprised. Either buy the more expensive models or get another brand.

What's great about it: quiet
What's not so great: for the price, not worth it; buy a cheaper one for same results
I had this dishwasher only two days and the interior door had multiple spots on it that would not come off. I only used brand grade dishwasher detergent and rinse aid as specified and nothing else went in the dishwasher that was not food or dishes. When I contacted the company, Bosch suggested cleaning products that did not work. I know it is only the inside but when I pay this much for a dishwasher I expect it to not discolor. I also expected more from a Bosch product. Plus the reason it uses less water is because the interior is very small. I end up using more water because I have to run it more.

Our GE dishwasher stopped working suddenly, so we decided to go with a Bosch due to the raves about how quiet it runs. This is probably the only "rave" that came to fruition for us.
The dishes-and the whole dishwasher for that matter-are soaking wet after they finish the dry cycle. I kept thinking I did something wrong, so I read through the manual and discovered the manufacturer practically requires you to use a rinse aid in addition to the regular detergent. I really don't like the idea of using more chemicals on the dishes, as I'm sure most progressive individuals would agree. Why would you have to use a chemical to assist the appliance in doing what it should do on it's own? I had an old GE that would dry the dishes effectively.
Furthermore, the dish racks are poorly designed. You really can't fit as many dishes (top rack especially) as you should be able to. I even tried to arrange the dishes according to the manual, and it really doesn't work. I'm not sure what size dishes they tried to use in this dishwasher during production, but it is not practical at all.
I will be returning it asap.

Easy to control. Like the digital display. No rinse and hold cycle. Like the dishwasher but the inside is kind of small compared to other dishwashers in the same price/features range. I think it is a nice product and I would recommend it, but just understand the negatives.

Our dishwasher broke and after several months of saving and researching, we went with Bosch. It is a great dishwasher - very quiet, very clean dishes. The only mark against it is the fact that the interior never gets completely dry at the end of the wash, keeping the top rack of dishes damp. This is mentioned in dozens of other reviews, so we were not surprised, but rather disappointed in how significant the moisture was. The solution we've come up with is to set the dishwasher to its highest dry setting, and then once the dishwasher is done, we open the door for a while to let it air out inside. Not perfect, but the rest of the performance of the dishwasher and the inconvenience of returning it means it's staying put!

What's great about it: VERY quiet
What's not so great: Power lights stay on after the cycle is done. Not a biggie, just weird.
My OLD dishwasher finally died and I needed a replacement. I had read about Bosch, and Best Buy had it on sale - plus free delivery - PLUS installation for $20. You really can't tell it's running. I ran the first load thru and was so amazed that I sat right in front of it and called people on my phone - nobody could tell I was sitting in front of a dishwasher. It does a great job of cleaning dishes too.

Picked for reputation of brand and quietness of operation. Have not been disappointed. It cleans well. It's so quiet you can't tell it's running. For a top brand, the Bosch delivers. The installer used in our area was also top notch.
